This one-of-a-kind enamel necklace was inspired by the Hubble infrared view of the Tarantula Nebula, which is known for its luminosity and massive stars. Handcrafted of enamel on copper, sterling silver, moonstones, and peridot.
White enamel, if fired too hot or too long, can turn the most beautiful green. These pieces were overfired, then I added white lump enamel and reinforced the gorgeous color with the addition of subtle painted enamel, gold foil, and gold luster. The pendant hangs from a 16-inch commercial wheat chain of sterling silver.
