A one-of-a-kind enamel necklace inspired by Hubble photos of spiral galaxies. Handmade from enamel on copper in a sterling setting.
Spirals create a feeling of movement, growth and regeneration. There is a sense of circling around, of journey and return, but also of discovery. It is one of my favorite shapes.
The particular mixture of different enamels in this necklace created an interesting pattern. Sometimes these happy accidents occur in enameling. It’s what keeps me wanting to make new pieces after all these years.
The pendant is on a16-inch sterling silver commercial wheat chain.
